Experienced human rights advocate providing fact-based consultations with integrity.

Researcher, published writer and advocate

Who is Eldur Smári?

I am a 45-year-old gender critical gay rights campaigner from Iceland, known for my outspoken criticism of gender ideology, and its negative impact on the rights of same-sex attracted people, women and children. I have been active in public discourse since at least 2015 and I was the chairman of Samtökin 22, the Lesbian and Gay Alliance in Iceland which recently rebranded to LGB Samtökin - a member organisation of LGB International.

I remain as a trustee of the organisation and I represent Iceland in matters related to LGB International.

My aim is always to promote fact- and logic-based discussions to influence positive policy changes and protect human rights globally through evidence-based research and reporting.

I am published writer, human rights advocate, a passionaed social critic, and political commentator. I am known for my sharp analysis and fearless voice in public discourse, and I have dedicated my whole career to defending individual freedoms and exposing ideological overreach in modern institutions. My  work often critiques the influence of activist-driven initiatives, particularly those tied to LGBTQIA+ organisations, such as diversity champion schemes and the Icelandic "Regnbogavottun" certification.
